1962 War that wasn't "by Shiv Kunal Varma

A very well written book. It gives the most balanced view of the 1962 war. Shiv Kunal Verma's father was from 2 Rajput the battalion which faced Chinese at Nam Ka Chu and fought a heroic battle. The book gives a very gripping account of battles on Tawang axis, Walong and Leh. Undoubtedly it was political leadership and Generals who let down India Army. Wherever Indian Army fought frotal battles with Chinese Army the Chinese had to beat a retreat and they forced Indian Army to retreat by encircling them cutting off their routes to rear areas. Unfortunately Indian Air Force remained mute spectator. Must read by Army Officer . Must  hv a personal copy.
