The book tries to give brief history of Patiala clan. But number of events have been given a passing references. However his life history is a failed attempt to glorify him. Amrinder Singh, though a good man, is not a man of masses. The snobbish touch of royalty is very much evident in him. Winning elections does not mean that masses love him. He has failed to change the course of progress in Punjab. His present rule is nothing but kind of living aloof and away from ground level situation. Of course veterans like him as he connects very well with them.
The book has just a passing references to his failings. Rather than a popular leader it shows him still a 'Maharaja.
